Ingredients

2/3 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Combine oil
and
1
cup
sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add egg and beat well.
Stir in molasses; combine flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and ginger.
Add to molasses mixture, stirring to mix. Roll dough into 1-inch balls;
roll each in remaining 1/4 cup sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350\u00b0
for
10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
Yield:
About 4 dozen.
