Ingredients

3 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. mincemeat
Preparation

Sift together flour, salt and soda.
Cream shortening (add sugar gradually) until fluffy.
Add eggs.
Beat until smooth. Stir in mincemeat.
Gradually add flour mixture.
Mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet (two inches apart).
Bake at 400\u00b0 about 12 minutes.
Makes about 48 cookies.
