Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks) *
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
Preparation

Put together in order given.
Pat out on cookie sheet.
Press 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans on top. Moisten top with unbeaten egg white.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cut while warm; let cool in pan.
