Soft Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    6 Tbsp. cold water
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 Tbsp. hot water
    1/2 c. shortening, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Sift together flour, ginger, cinnamon and salt; dissolve soda in hot water.
    Melt shortening and add sugar, molasses, egg and cold water; mix until creamy and add flour mixture, then add soda and water.
    Add raisins and nuts.
    Place by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0.
