Rolled Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. butter or margarine (regular margarine)
    1/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Beat butter or margarine and shortening for 30 seconds.
    Add sugar; cream until light and fluffy.
    Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
    Add flour mixture; beat well.
    Divide dough in half.
    Cover and chill 3 hours.
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Working with half the dough at a time, on lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut with cookie or biscuit cutter.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 7 to 8 minutes.
    Cool on wire rack.
    Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
