Ingredients

2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. oleo, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
4 c. flour
Preparation

Cream sugar, shortening, oleo and eggs together.
Blend well. Add salt, baking powder, nutmeg, lemon flavoring and vanilla. Dissolve baking soda into buttermilk.
Add buttermilk and flour. Blend well.
Refrigerate several hours.
