Scotch Bar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. flour, sifted
    1 c. oatmeal (Quick)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. chocolate chips (6 oz.)
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped (walnuts, slivered almonds or pecans)
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add other ingredients and beat well.
    Spread on a jelly roll pan (with sides).
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Cool 4 minutes.
