Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. butter, softened
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In a bowl, stir together flour and baking soda.
    In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy.
    Add eggs; beat well.
    Gradually add flour mixture; beat well.
    Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 9 to 11 minutes. Cool slightly.
    Place on wire rack until cooled completely.
    Makes about 6 dozen.
