Supreme White Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, then vanilla and dry ingredients.
    Refrigerate 1 hour or overnight.
    Roll into balls. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
