Best Cookies Ever - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter, softened (not margarine)
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 1/2 c. rolled oats
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
    1 plain semi-sweet or milk chocolate bar (8 oz.), grated
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts or pecans)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars.
    Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract.
    Mix in the flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
    Add remaining ingredients and mix together.
    Roll dough into small balls (no larger than ping pong ball size).
    Place about 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.
    Bake for 6 to 7 minutes.
