Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. chopped apple
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add milk, egg, melted shortening and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Add nuts and chopped apples. Stir together.
    Bake in a well-greased bread pan at 375\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Makes one loaf.
