Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar well.
Add eggs.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Add flavorings and sifted dry ingredients; chill.
Roll thin; cut and place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
