Ginger Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. dark molasses
    2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    sugar for rolling cookie balls
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg, molasses, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt.
    Blend until smooth dough forms, using medium to low speed on mixer.
    Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate pieces; shape into 1-inch balls.
    Dip tops of balls in sugar.
    Place dipped side up on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes, until browned and firm.
    Makes 5 dozen cookies.
