Soft Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    cold water
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    pinch of salt
    1 egg
    2 tsp. baking soda
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine molasses with sugar, shortening and water.
    Add the vanilla, vinegar and ginger.
    Add the egg.
    Mix together cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking soda and flour.
    Add to the batter.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 15 minutes.
