Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. pitted dates
    1 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients and cool.
    Combine butter, sugar, egg, salt and vanilla; add to date mixture.
    Combine nuts and flour with other mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes for small pan, or 60 to 70 minutes in large pan.
