Crackling Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cracklings
    2 tsp. salt
    2 c. boiling water
    about 1 2/3 c. cornmeal
Preparation
    Place
    cracklings in heavy boiler and stir while cracklings heat.
    Sprinkle
    salt
    on
    them
    and stir again.
    Pour 2 cups boiling
    water
    over cracklings.
    Reduce heat and simmer for about 3
    to 5 minutes.
    Gradually add finely ground cornmeal, while mixture
    is
    still
    on stove.
    Stir until a stiff batter is formed.
    Drop from large spoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake
    in
    a 450\u00b0 oven until well browned (20 to 30 minutes).
