Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Soften butter.
In mixer bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Stir together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to the creamed mixture and beat until blended.
Divide dough in half.
Cover and chill about 1 hour.
(I do it overnight!)
