Grandma'S Light Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cake yeast
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 1/2 pt. warm water
    2 medium potatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    4 to 5 c. flour
Preparation
    Cook the potatoes and mash.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add yeast water to the mashed potatoes along with salt and sugar.
    Mix well; place in a crock and leave it on a warm hearth to rise.
    When mixture has risen almost to the top of crock, begin to add flour until you have a firm dough.
    Let rise until double in size.
    Then knead real good before shaping into loaves.
    Let rise again, then bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes, or until broomstraw stuck in comes out free of dough.
    Slice and spread with butter.
