Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 cups flour
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. soft butter
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/3 c. raisins
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, powder and salt. Cut in butter. Stir in buttermilk and raisins to make a soft dough. Turn onto floured board and kneed 1-2 minutes until smooth. Shape a 6 1/2 inch diameter round and place on buttered baking sheet. Cut an x about 1/4 inch deep with a floured knife. Bake at 375 degrees for about 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with butter and jam.
