Ingredients

3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. cloves or nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. soft margarine or vegetable oil
2/3 c. yogurt
3/4 c. sugar
1 beaten egg yolk, mixed with 1 Tbsp. water
sesame seeds
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into bowl and make a well in the center. Put in margarine and yogurt.
Mix lightly by hand, pulling flour from sides of bowl into the well until flour is incorporated and dough is soft and pliable.
Roll small pieces of dough into short, cigar-size shapes and turn tapered ends into S shape.
Arrange cookies on lightly greased baking sheet.
Brush tops with egg/water mixture; sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes until golden.
Cool and store in cookie tin.
