Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 sticks oleo
1 pkg. dates, chopped
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts, chopped
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. hot water
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Pour 2 cups of hot water over dates and raisins; let stand. Cream sugar, eggs and oleo.
Add dry ingredients.
Add date mix and nuts.
Bake in soup cans.
Grease and flour soup cans.
Fill cans 1/2 full only.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Freezes well.
