Bean Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cooked, sieved pinto beans
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 egg, beaten
1/3 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
-
Combine all ingredients.
Drop by large tablespoon into 1/4 inch hot fat.
Cook, turning once, until brown.
(Can be replacement for meat.)
