Soft Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. lard
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Beat eggs 1 minute.
    Add sugar and shortening and beat 1 minute.
    Add vanilla and milk.
    Sift dry ingredients and combine with first mixture.
    Drop by spoon onto cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 or 375\u00b0 until they look done (ovens vary), 8 to 10 minutes. Ice tops when cool (optional).
