Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. canned pumpkin
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts or raisins
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar.
    Gradually add eggs; mix until well blended.
    Sift all dry ingredients and add to mixture.
    Add pumpkin, vanilla and raisins.
    Mix well.
    Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
