Norm'S Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 strip) pkg. yeast
    3 c. water
    3 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    16 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
Preparation
    Place yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in quart bowl.
    Add warm (95\u00b0 to 98\u00b0) water.
    Let set 20 minutes or double in size.
    In large bowl, place rest of ingredients.
    Mix and add yeast/sugar/water mixture.
    Mix and knead by hand until smooth and light texture. Cover and let rise 45 minutes in warm location (or double in size).
    Divide into 5 equal parts.
    Fold and place in bread pans. Let rise for 30 minutes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
