Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
2 c. Rice Krispies
2 c. rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut (if desired)
2 eggs
2 c. flour
pinch of salt
Preparation

Cream shortening and the sugars, then add eggs and beat.
Add sifted flour, baking powder and soda together.
Mix well, then add Rice Krispies and vanilla.
Then add the oatmeal and coconut and mix.
