Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter together slowly, adding sugar gradually.
Cream until very light.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
Add vanilla.
Stir in sifted cake flour, baking powder and salt.
