Soft Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Put butter in bowl and cream until soft.
    Add water to melt, then add molasses, sugar and egg.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add to first mixture.
    Drop by spoonful on well-greased cookie sheet.
    May also add raisins.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Bake about 12 minutes.
