1 c. Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. granulated Sugar
1 c. Shortening
2 Eggs
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
2 1/4 c. all purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 c. M&Ms
Preparation

Cream sugars, shortening, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
Combine flour, soda and salt.
Add blended dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in 1/2 cup M&Ms reserve remaining candies for decorating.
Drop by teaspoonful or shape into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased baking dish.
Decorate tops of cookies with remaining M&Ms as desired.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 min. Yield:
5-6 dozen.
