Banana Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    4 to 6 bananas, depending on size
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together except bananas.
    Peel and slice bananas in half lengthwise and again vertically.
    Dip bananas in batter and place them in a frying pan or grill which is lightly greased with shortening.
    Fry until lightly brown on both sides. Remove from pan and sprinkle with confectioners powdered sugar. Serve warm.
