Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
2 c. Rice Krispies
2 c. coconut
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars together.
Add eggs.
Add oatmeal, flour, baking powder, soda, vanilla, salt, Rice Krispies and coconut.
Mix.
Roll in small balls and flatten slightly with fork or glass on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
