Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    2 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca (optional)
    2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, separated
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, tapioca, milk, fat and salt.
    Cook over boiling water, stirring frequently, until thickened.
    Remove from heat; cool slightly.
    Beat egg yolks slightly; beat into the mixture.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour into greased baking dish.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Serve from the baking dish.
