Pineapple Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 c. crushed pineapple
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl. Add raisins and nuts. Combine egg, vanilla and shortening. Dissolve soda in pineapple and add to flour mixture. Stir until well blended. Pour into greased loaf pan (8 x 4 x 4-inch). Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour. Test with toothpick for doneness. Cool thoroughly before slicing.
