Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    3 well ripened bananas, mashed
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Sift together salt, soda and flour.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in bananas and eggs.
    Add vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients and finally the nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes in loaf pan.
    Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
    Cool thoroughly on wire rack before slicing.
