Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. pecan pieces
Preparation

Mix all ingredients thoroughly and place in refrigerator to harden.
When relatively hard, remove and mold into oblong bar. Cover with wax paper and let stand in refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
Cut into thin slices and bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) for about 10 minutes.
