Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. sour cream
2 large eggs, beaten
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Sift dry ingredients together. Add cream and beaten eggs to creamed mixture.
Add dry ingredients.
Roll quite thin and cookies are more crisp.
If cloth covered board and rolling pin are used, not so much flour will be required to roll.
