Old-Fashioned Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. margarine
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
4 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, until light and fluffy.
Add oil, vanilla and lemon peel.
Beat until well mixed.
In another bowl, combine flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well.
Wrap and chill dough.
