Grandma Cookies(10 Dozen) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    8 c. flour
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and salt.
    Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition.
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Add alternately with buttermilk to creamed ingredients. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes or until tops begin to brown.
    Do not overbake or cookies will be dry.
    Makes 10 dozen good cookies
