Polish Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. butter
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    5 c. flour
    2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 lb. raisins
    2 shot glasses whiskey
Preparation
    Mix the buttermilk and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda together and set aside.
    Mix the butter, sugar, eggs and sour cream together and set aside.
    Mix the flour, 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder, salt, nutmeg and raisins together and set aside.
    Fold flour mixture into butter mixture.
    Add buttermilk and whiskey.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 in a greased and floured tube pan for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
