Ingredients

1 c. shortening (half butter)
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. coconut
Preparation

Mix ingredients thoroughly.
Chill 2 hours.
Roll into balls; press with fork.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in a 400\u00b0 oven.
