Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
5 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Cream both sugars, shortening and eggs.
Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Roll into logs on wax paper to cool in refrigerator until firm.
Remove, cut into 1/4-inch slices and bake on ungreased pan until edges are light brown, about 10 minutes.
Remove from pan while hot.
