Cranberry Relish Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/3 c. orange juice
3 Tbsp. white vinegar plus water to make 2/3 c.
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1/4 c. melted shortening
1 c. halved or coarsely chopped raw cranberries
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift together flour, soda, salt and sugar.
Beat eggs, add liquid, orange rind and melted shortening.
Add all at once to flour mixture and stir until flour is just dampened.
Add cranberries and nuts, stir just enough to blend well.
Turn into greased loaf pan.
Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 60 to 70 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool several hours or overnight before slicing.
