Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted cake flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
3 sq. melted chocolate
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Measure first 7 ingredients into bowl and beat on medium speed about 2 minutes.
Stir in baking powder and mix well.
Add remaining ingredients and beat for 3 minutes at medium speed. Bake in two 9-inch pans (1 1/2 inches deep) or 10 x 14-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
Less time for layers.
Frost with Chocolate Fudge Frosting.
