1 c. (2 sticks) softened butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 (12 oz.) bags semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking powder and soda.
Combine wet and dry ingredients.
Stir in chocolate chips.
With your fingers, place golf ball size portions of dough 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 9 minutes, or until edges are light brown. Makes 30 cookies.
