Sweet Monkey Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. boiling water
    3 c. flour
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 beaten egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Add shortening to boiling water; cool to lukewarm.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add sugar and egg to shortening.
    Add yeast and mix.
    Add flour.
    Knead several minutes.
    Turn into greased bowl.
    Cover and let rise until double its size.
