German Bread Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    5 slices soft bread, cubed
    salt and pepper to taste
    flour
Preparation
    Whisk together egg and milk.
    Toss in bread cubes.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Gradually stir in just enough flour to make mixture stick together.
    Form into 2 balls.
    Gently drop into boiling water and simmer until dumpling comes to the top of the water.
    Remove with a slotted spoon.
    Drain and serve hot.
    Makes 2 medium dumplings.
