Ingredients

1 lb. unsalted oleo
3 Tbsp. Crisco
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. powdered sugar
6 to 7 c. flour
powdered sugar to store in
whole cloves
Preparation

Beat oleo or butter and Crisco.
Add baking powder, vanilla and powdered sugar.
Slowly add flour until the dough can be shaped and handled.
Shape into crescent shape and place on greased sheets. Place 1 whole clove in each cookie before baking.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
Cookies will be firm and very light brown. Remove from tray and roll in powdered sugar while hot.
Then store covered in powdered sugar.
