Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cranberries, chopped
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Mix together flour, sugar, powder, salt and soda.
Cut in shortening. Stir in orange juice, egg and peel, mixing just to moisten.
Fold in cranberries and nuts.
Spoon into pan.
Bake 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on rack for 15 minutes. Remove from pan.
Cool completely.
Wrap and store overnight.
