Ingredients

2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. shortening
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c chopped pecans
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Beat eggs, vanilla, shortening and 1/2 of the cake mix (dry) until light and fluffy.
Stir in remaining cake mix, chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes (centers will be soft).
Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet.
