James Beard'S Toll House Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    3/4 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. milk
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix and drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
